We are pleased to report Attorney John M. Burke was able to quickly resolve a trademark dispute involving an out of state competitor. The out of state competitor had been displaying a trademark that was nearly identical to that of a federally registered trademark owned by a client of the firms. Attorney Burke contacted the out of state competitor and through counsel, the out of state competitor agreed to drop the use of the trademark. This is an excellent result for our client and another example that a pre-emptive approach to trademark enforcement is better than a reactive approach.
